Works with most "to go" cups in addition to the ones provided, as along as they fit under the drip spout you are good to go. Also great in addition to a large coffee maker, esp. if you have family or guests who like their coffee differently.less strong, decaf, etc. I have been using this for about a month now and it is a great, convenient little machine. I'm considering a "gold" filter so I don't have to keep using paper ones, $12 at Target, we'll see. Takes 2-3 minutes to make a cup. Make 1 or 2 cups at a time. I have sworn off my $3/day drive through coffee.
And the price was very reasonable. The Cuisinart TTG-500FR Coffeemaker makes good coffee in a simple, elegant machine. It actually makes almost as much coffee as a four-cup coffeemaker.
I didn't bother to return it because I did like the cups and probably would have paid that price for them anyway. The unit did not work because on-off switch was broken. I bought this for my husband's office. I opened and threw away the packaging before trying it out.
It requires #2 filters and they probably should be purchased at the same time if possible. It is dispensed into the travel mug which fits my cup holder in my car. This coffeemaker really solved alot of my problems. The coffee is ready to go, just add 2 cups of water and your coffee.
However, after only about 4 months, it died. I cleaned it up and it's never worked again.
It may not fit in your car. The coffee mugs are also really wide in the base.
I purchased this product new, not refurbed. Bizarre.
Overall, I'm sure there are better to-go coffeemakers out there. When it did work, it made good coffee and was very convenient.
Worked fine until the morning it leaked hot water all over the counter along with coffee grounds.
